Diesel engines guive such an amount of torque because of the high turbo pressures; the turbo of stock 1.9TDI's 130/150hp work at 22 PSI giving only 230/236LB-FT...? any 1.9 4cyl petrol engine could offer almost 300LB-FT with those turbo pressures, so the high RPM are not even necessary. *Sorry for my english.
